Fidelis was established by Nigel Stitt in 2017. Nigel, a Zimbabwean by birth, spent 34 years in the insurance sector underwriting, consulting and broking.  About 25 years were spent either working in or dealing with the African and Middle Eastern markets.

The intention behind Fidelis is to provide both direct commercial clients and insurance/reinsurance sector organisations with an excellent level of service in sourcing non-life insurance and reinsurance covers tailored to their specific requirements.  

Fidelis is also well placed to offer specialist niche advice for those seeking solutions in the sub-Saharan African markets; in particular, we have access to exclusive facilities in respect of Somalia and Puntland.

In addition, we also have considerable experience of Islamic, Shariah compliant, takaful and retakaful risk transfer solutions in the UK, in Europe and globally.
